Questions students ask
Is Mashq really free?
Yes. During the launch beta every exam, chapter practice set, mini mock and full-length paper is free, with no sign-up.
How many questions are there?
Over 1,000 MCQs with explanations: about 423 for MDCAT, 319 for ECAT, 364 for CSS MPT and 205 for PLAB 1 (some subjects such as English are shared). We add more every week.
Are the mocks based on the official pattern?
Yes. Each mock follows the latest PMDC, UET, FPSC or GMC pattern for subject weightage, timing and marking. Always check the official notice for your session too.
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser, on the device you use. Use the same phone or laptop to keep your scores, mistakes and bookmarks. Accounts that sync across devices are coming with Mashq Pro.
Can I use Mashq on my phone?
Yes. Open Mashq in Chrome and choose "Add to Home screen" to use it like an app. It keeps working when your signal drops. A Play Store app is on the way.
Is there negative marking?
No. None of the four real exams currently uses negative marking, so Mashq doesn't either. ECAT gives 4 marks per correct answer, as UET does. Always check the latest official notice for your session.
Is Mashq connected to PMDC, UET, FPSC or the GMC?
No. Mashq is an independent practice platform and is not affiliated with any exam body.
